There are several ministries that are close to my heart and receive my attention and focus. I’ve added a little bit of information about each one on this page so you can find out why I support these, as well as links where you can learn more.

Compass Community Church

Four years ago my family and I became founding members of a small group Bible study that met in our neighborhood, led by one of the associate pastor’s at Grace Community Church in Winchester, VA. That small group grew and became so close that in late 2013 we began to discuss the idea of forming a new campus location to serve the northern part of Frederick County, VA, where we live. On December 31, 2013 we held our very first service as Grace Community Church – North Campus. Then, exactly two years later, with the support and blessing of Grace Community, we became our own independent church, now call Compass Community Church.

My husband and I serve on the leadership team (he the board of directors, and I the head of women’s ministry) and this ministry is very near and dear to our hearts. The people who serve and worship at our church are family and we share a single mission to welcome people into a relationship with Christ and support them on their spiritual journey. Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp and Retreat CenterCaroline Furnace Lutheran Camp
I often tell people that I grew-up at Caroline Furnace. I spent 1-2 weeks there every summer for 7 years and it was during these years that my spiritual foundation was laid, and I truly began to “grow-up” in Christ. I also met many life-long friends at camp that have changed my life.

Now my kids spend a week every summer at Caroline Furnace and a new generation is coming to know God and experience magical summers. Caroline Furnace is located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, just outside Edinburg, VA. When they are not filled with summer campers, Caroline Furnace offers a place for retreats and gatherings. If you would like to learn more about Caroline Furnace, please check out their website.
